Abstract

The significance of inductive and deductive research methods in the historical process of forming, generalizing, and systematizing mathematical knowledge was analyzed, the causes and consequences of insufficient use of induction in the process of teaching mathematics, the principle of the inseparable interconnection of induction and deduction in the further development of mathematical education was substantiated, and the necessity of practical implementation of the unique methodological heritage of K.F. Lebedintsev and D. Poia was proven.
