Abstract
In this article, psycho-pedagogical aspects of preventing and overcoming stress factors in modern sports are explored based on the analysis of a complex of literary sources and experience in psychological preparation. It has been established that in modern conditions, stress has become an integral part of human life, allowing adaptation to the external environment. The understanding of stress theory has extended beyond the biological approach, acquiring an interdisciplinary character. It has been proven that the psychological training of athletes is an important part of the educational process in sports; the main goal of such training is the formation and development of personal qualities of athletes. Key tasks include developing readiness for a long training process, activating before competitions and overcoming stress factors. The scientific positions of researches make it possible to systematize stress factors that affect the psycho-emotional state of athletes during competitive activities. It is important to note that stress factors of uncertainty are associated with the sports activities of athletes, while stress factors of significance arise due to responsibility for assessing their own results. Regarding the classification of stress factors, physiological (direct effects on the body) and psychological (factors of the social environment, influence on the psyche) stressors can be distinguished. Professional and household stress factors are determined by the specificity of professional activity and daily life, respectively. It has been established that stress affects the body at physiological and psychological levels: the physiological reaction of the body covers changes in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory movements and other parameters, including hormone levels; the psychological reaction manifests in cognitive, emotional and behavioral aspects. The general conclusion indicates that stress reactions and factors in sports activities are diverse and individual, confirming the need for a personalized approach to managing stress in sports
