The question regarding the study of the discipline “Sports massage” in the process of forming the knowledge of physical culture specialists of higher education institutions was analyzed. It was determined that the educational discipline “Sports massage” plays an important role in the curriculum for the training of future specialists in the field of sports. Undoubtedly, the competencies acquired in the process of mastering the discipline “Sports massage” allow future specialists to apply them in their professional activities in various cases (from the treatment of various diseases and injuries to conducting rehabilitation activities with athletes)
